Ukraine's Economy
Coal and electric power are the two major industries of Ukraine.
The two major exports of of Ukraine are ferrous/nonferrous metals and fuels/petroleum products. The two major imports are energy and machinery and equipment.
The two major trading partners of Ukraine are Russia (25.6% of its exports and 32.4% of its imports) and China (9.4% of its imports).
Two tourist attractions of this country would include the Genoese Fortress and Mother Motherland. The Genoese Fortress signifies the Western European fortification against the Genoese when they tried to take over the trade between them and Sudak. Mother Motherland also serves for the purpose of recognizing the win of the Soviet Union in World War II. However, the observation deck provides a bird’s eye view of Kiev from a variety of different angles.

Sources of Political Conflicts in Ukraine
Ukraine was part of the Soviet Union until 1991, and since then has been a less-than-perfect democracy with a very weak economy and foreign policy that wavers between pro-Russian and pro-European.
Internal Conflicts
One example of an internal political crisis was when President Viktor Yanukovych rejected a deal for greater integration with the European Union. This sparked mass protests, which Yanukovych attempted to put down violently. There was a political conflict between the people and the government over this topic.
The other internal conflict is between pro-Russian separatists that are battling Ukrainian forces in the east. The pro-Russian people are from Ukraine, but believe that Russia should still be in charge. There is a lot of fighting due to this in Ukraine.
International Conflicts
The internal conflicts caued international conflicts throughout the world. Russia backed Yanukovych in the crisis, while the US and Europe supported the protesters so this became a larger issue.
Russia, trying to salvage its lost influence in Ukraine, invaded and annexed Crimea which was another international conflict. Months of political instability in Ukraine have escalated into another major international crisis pitting the United States and the European Union (EU) against Russia.
Many countries are also having problems with trade internationally with Ukraine due to their political instability.
